Humanitarian Award

Winner Announced October 3rd

Our Humanitarian Award Winning organization’s mission is to strengthen communities by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives.

Founded in 2002 in Woburn, this organization has grown to serve 20 Eastern Massachusetts communities while continuing to make a difference right here in Woburn. 

We envision a nation where individuals are strongly connected to their neighbors and play an active role in shaping the destiny of their communities. This increase in social capital will result in communities that are safer, healthier and more vital.”

Our 2018 Business of the Year Award winner is a company whose tenets include:

Our keynote speaker grew up in Winchester and graduated from Winchester High School and Harvard College.

He gained business experience as a licensed commercial insurance broker and a marketing coordinator. He joined Cummings Properties in 1992 as general manager of Community Weeklies, Inc. He began working on the real estate side of the organization in 1996 as operations manager and has steadily risen within the organization.

He is actively involved in the community, having served as director of  both the WBA and the Winchester Chamber, a trustee of Cummings Foundation, and a corporator and chair of the Business Partners Program of Winchester Hospital.

He has held multiple leadership positions with NAIOP Massachusetts, including president of its Executive Committee.
